Spectacular reclaimed antique late Victorian cast iron chimneypiece in design, proportion and quality of casting.

The deep bow fronted shelf sits above a breakfront cornice detailed with dentil mouldings, above a sweeping frieze decorated with finely cast scrolling acanthus leaves and swags of flora around a central cornice.

The capital either side are embroidered with an abundance of foliage and berries and sit above substantial canted scrolling jambs wrapped in a sash of fabric. This fire surround has something new to prick your interest each time you look.
